Since our founding in 2017, Hart Construction has been entrusted with a wide range of high-profile construction projects across Auckland’s Central Business District (CBD) and surrounding suburbs. Currently, we are proud to be a part of the transformative City Rail Link (CRL) project, a key infrastructure initiative reshaping travel around Auckland CBD.
Meet The Team
Rob Hart, Director – Founder
Rob was born in London and began as an apprentice there. He has worked in construction for over 20 years, building knowledge and upskilling on high profile sites including the 2012 Olympic Aquatic Centre, schools and high-end residential developments in London’s Tower Bridge. Since arriving in New Zealand Rob has worked across the civil sector supervising sites in Auckland CBD and suburbs before building his own construction company. The company is constantly evolving, growing and taking on more large and complex projects. Hart Construction’s team are currently based on the City Rail Link (CRL) due for completion 2025.
Sam Gaviola, Director Strategic Brand and Talent
With 20 years of leadership across business, faith, and construction, Sam brings a grounded, service-oriented approach to leading Hart Construction. His hands-on experience in carpentry, civil, and tunneling work informs a practical leadership style built on accountability, clear standards, and follow-through. Since stepping into a director role, he’s focused on strengthening Hart’s core mission: building a team clients can rely on when timelines tighten and expectations rise. Under his leadership, Hart remains committed to site-ready crews who show up prepared and deliver with discipline.
The Rest Of The Team
We have a range of skills, cultures, backgrounds and Worldwide experience within the Hart Construction team. Current roles include labourers, hammer hands, steel fixers, formwork carpenters, leading hands and foreman. We invest in our team members and currently have some working on apprenticeships, building their future in the industry.
